In this episode, we explore one of the most challenging and important questions facing Christians today: **How do we love people we deeply disagree with?**In a culture marked by division, outrage, and hostility, followers of Jesus are called to something radically different. As Christians, we believe that God's Word defines truth, sin, and righteousness. Yet we are also commanded to love others as Christ has loved us. So what does it look like to hold firmly to biblical convictions while demonstrating genuine compassion, grace, and humility? We discuss the biblical call to lovingly speak the truth about sin—not from a place of superiority or condemnation, but from a heart that desires others to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. True biblical love doesn't ignore sin, nor does it celebrate what God calls wrong. Instead, it points people toward the hope, forgiveness, and transformation found in the gospel. At the same time, we remember that every person is made in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth. Every individual deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and love, regardless of whether they share our beliefs. Loving someone does not require affirming every decision they make, and disagreeing with someone's beliefs or lifestyle is not the same as hating them. For those who may not identify as Christians and are listening today, we hope this conversation offers clarity. When Christians speak about sin, our desire should never be to shame, reject, or devalue people. Rather, it should flow from the same love that compels us to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We recognise that everyone, ourselves included, falls short of God's perfect standard and is equally in need of His mercy and grace.Together, we reflect on Paul's words in Romans 12:18: *”If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”* This verse challenges believers to pursue peace, seek healthy relationships, extend forgiveness, and model the love of Christ, even when disagreements remain. While we cannot control the responses of others, we are responsible for reflecting the character of Jesus in our words, actions, and attitudes. We also discuss how Christians can engage in difficult conversations with wisdom, gentleness, and truth, resisting the temptation to mirror the anger and division so prevalent in today's world. Rather than allowing politics, culture, or personal opinions to define us, we are called to let Scripture shape our hearts and to point people to the ultimate source of hope—Jesus Christ. In a world desperate for unity and authentic love, the Church has an opportunity to be a light in the darkness. May we be known not only for what we stand against, but also for the Christlike love we demonstrate to every person we encounter.Whether you're a committed believer, someone exploring the Christian faith, or simply curious about how Christians think about love, truth, and relationships, we invite you to join us for this honest and thoughtful conversation.**Topics covered in this episode:*** Loving those we disagree with as Christians* Speaking the truth in love* What the Bible says about sin and grace* Living at peace with others (Romans 12:18)* Loving people as image bearers of God* Sharing the gospel with compassion and humility* Biblical truth in a divided culture* Christian discipleship and evangelism* Following Jesus in everyday relationships* Hope, forgiveness, and the transforming power of the gospelIf this episode encouraged or challenged you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who would benefit from this conversation.
